Rugged computer maker Getac has announced a couple new machines today including the V110 rugged convertible notebook and the F110 rugged tablet. The V110 is billed as the thinnest and lightest rugged convertible notebook on the market. Getac claims that the F110 is the thinnest and lightest fully rugged large-screen tablet around.
The V110 notebook is less than 12 x 9″ in size and 1.3-inches thick. Ahe machine weighs in at a little more than 4 pounds making it the thinnest and lightest fully rugged convertible notebook made according to Getac. The screen twists using a multi-positioning hinge allowing you to easily transform between laptop and tablet modes.
The display for the convertible notebook is 11.6-inches and the machine uses a waterproof membrane backlit keyboard. The F110 features the same 11.6-inch display and is under one-inch thick and measures 12 x 8″ in size and weighs 3 pounds. Both the convertible notebook and tablet share the same internal hardware.
The products use fourth generation Intel Core i5-4300U or i7-4600U processors operating at 1.9 GHz and 2.1 GHz respectively. Both processors also feature Intel Turbo Boost Technology allowing clock speeds up to 2.9 GHz and 3.3 GHz respectively. Both devices also feature Intel HD 4400 graphics. Pricing and availability information is unknown at this time. Getac announced an updated traditional ruggedized notebook computer called the B300 earlier this month.
