Huawei Ascend P7 release detailed (US out of luck)

Huawei has confirmed availability and pricing of its new Ascend P7 flagship smartphone, the 6.5mm-thick Android handset packing a total of 21-megapixels, though North America is sadly out of luck for the moment. The smartphone - which has a 5-inch Full HD display, quadcore processor, and LTE - will hit shelves this month.

It'll be priced at €449 ($625), Huawei has said, though that's the unlocked, SIM-free cost. Carriers are expected to apply their usual subsidies in return for a contract commitment.

The first markets to get the Ascend P7 will include many parts of Europe - including the UK, Germany, and France - the Middle East, and Asia. The full list is as follows:

China, the United Kingdom, Germany, Italy, France, Spain, Portugal, Ireland, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, Poland, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia, Serbia, Greece, Norway, Hungary, Denmark, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Austria, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, and the United Arab Emirates

Huawei will also offer a range of accessories for the phone, including the TalkBand B1 wearable the company announced back at Mobile World Congress in February. There'll be cases, clamshell covers, and external batteries to support the 2,500 mAh internal, non-user-replaceable pack.

There's everything you need to know about the Huawei Ascend P7 in our full review, including its impressive 8-megapixel front facing camera.
