Project NESM puts your Slinky on a mesmerizing treadmill

Whether we admit it or not, we all love the Slinky. A thin piece of metal, essentially a spring who’s lost its way, brings so much joy to us all. A new Kickstarter project wants to give your Slinky purpose, and you the never-ending enjoyment you always wanted.

Project NESM is simple, but effective. It’s also mesmerizing. NESM, short for Never Ending Slinky Machine, is a slanted treadmill for your slinky. Set it on your desk, slap a Slinky on there, and watch it go. Forever.

As you can see in the dramatic video below, NESM is mesmerizing. The slinky topples end over end, but never stops. No more finding stairs or steps, trying to find the perfect amount of pressure to put on the top of your Slinky. Now, you just set it on a treadmill like a hamster and let it run. And run… and run.

The project has been pretty successful, but you can still get in on it. For around £35, or roughly $65, you can get your own NESM. Best of all, the estimated delivery on this one is September of this year, so there’s no long Kickstarter wait. For that $65, you also get a Slinky!
