Samsung Galaxy Tab S WiFi models arrive in US June 27
0 Samsung's newly announced Galaxy Tab S tablets will hit shelves next week, bringing consumers access to the WiFi-only version of the slates. The carrier versions, as originally announced, won't be available until later on this year, giving an option for LTE connectivity.
The tablets, which went up for pre-order last Friday, are being launched ahead of the original schedule, which had the availability pegged for July originally. Both the Galaxy Tab S 8.4 and 10.5 will be available through Best Buy, Amazon, and other retailers, as well as Samsung's website.
The WiFi versions of the slates will cost $399.99 (the 8.4 model) and $499.99 (for the 10.5 model), and both will be available in titanium bronze and dazzling white. The pricing particulars for the carrier versions of the tablets, available eventually through Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, and AT&T, haven't been detailed.
The tablets have display sizes equal to their respective names (8.4 and 10.5), offering WQXGA 2560 x 1600 resolutions and, among other things, a 100,000:1 contrast ratio. You can head on into your local Samsung Experience Store to see it for yourself before deciding to buy.
