SonyhasofficiallyunveileditslatestsmartphonethatisheadedSony has officially unveiled its latest smartphone that is headed to the NTT DoCoMo network in Japan. The smartphone is called the Xperia Z1 f SO-02F and it has already been nicknamed Honami mini. This is the smartphone that leaked late last month via an image that turned up online. That leak had a number of specifications tipping what the phone would have under the cover.
Sony has gone official with the smartphone giving us all the official details, confirming what we learned in the previous leak. Sony has officially confirmed that the smartphone uses a QUALCOMM Snapdragon 800 processor operating at 2.2 GHz. The smartphone also have 2 GB of RAM.
Internal storage will be 16 GB and the smartphone runs Android 4.2.2. One of the biggest features of the smartphone is its 20.7-megapixel rear camera. The device also has a 2.2-megapixel front camera for videoconferencing.
The display on the Z1 f measures 4.3-inches and has a resolution of 1280 x 720. The screen also uses Sony’s Bravia LCD technology. The internal battery is a 2300 mAh unit and the phone weighs about 140 g. Dimensions are 127 mm x 65 mm x 9.4 mm making the smartphone quite compact. The major specifications that we don’t know at this point are when the smartphone will be available to purchase and exactly how much it will cost.
